Senior Associate – Litigation / Dispute Resolution
We are seeking to hire a bilingual senior associate to join our litigation department, with a focus on dispute resolution.
In this role, you will play an integral part of the team, handling high-level cases across all aspects of dispute resolution. Fluency in both English and Arabic, written and spoken is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 year’s PQE in a similar position at a reputable law firm, in-house legal department or consultancy. You will work closely with senior team members to develop case strategies and draft legal submissions while also managing legal research, document review and direct client engagement. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively are key to succeed in this role.
What you will do:
- Manage client case files effectively and efficiently, overseeing all legal and procedural aspects.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with the Partner on all matters related to ongoing cases.
- Ensure all case files are complete, accurate, and regularly updated on the internal system.
- Draft legal submissions and assist the Partner throughout all stages of litigation and dispute resolution proceedings.
- Take initiative in staying up to date with relevant legal developments and enhancing technical expertise.
- Maintain disciplined work practices, including timely submission of timesheets and adherence to conflicts clearance protocols.
- Liaise with clients to ensure all necessary documents and information are obtained in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the clients delivering exceptional services to ensure client satisfaction.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Masters/ Bachelor of Law from a reputed University.
- PQE 6 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of UAE laws.
- Excellent English and Arabic written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong business and client development skills.
- Good time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when juggling multiple projects.
- Experience working in a law firm or inhouse counsel is an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced with MS office suite skills including MS Teams, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prior team leadership experience preferred.
