The role:

As our IT manager, you will take ownership of our IT infrastructure, ensuring its seamless operation and optimal performance. You will be responsible for the correct operations of the Firms internal IT systems to ensure Business Continuity. You will lead by example, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, continuous learning, and professional growth.

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to set the future direction of our Internal Systems roadmap as we have several projects in the pipeline that require research, planning, and implementation. We are also keen to automate any processes that will increase efficiency in the future.

Key tasks will include:

  • Operate and maintain the Firm’s internal IT systems whether Cloud hosted or on-premises (including but not restricted to Office 365 Suite, phones,and firewalls. Dynamic, HP server, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) SOC 1 and SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, and its Cloud-based).
  • Ensure that backups Veeam and Disaster Recovery procedures are in place and are followed.
  • Review and update existing Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that they remain current and in compliance with our ISMS and QMS and create new SOPs as and when required.
  • Experience in managing, investigating, and resolving vulnerabilities. 
  • Evaluate and recommend new IT systems to support suggested improvements and verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.  

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5-10+ years of previous experience in managing or mentoring a small team responsible for supporting users and managing Windows and MacOS devices. 
  • Experience in managing a Microsoft 365 environment including Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams. 
  • Managing end-user devices with RMM or MDM platforms such as Intune. 
  • Day-to-day administration of internal infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, VoIPphone systems, and endpoint security. 
  • VMware System Esxi.
  • SonicWALL.
  • Process automation with scripting using languages such as PowerShell.
